Please review the list of this years ports and give us a hint of whether or not you’d like to put one of the dessert wines up!

No financial commitments, but we’ll reserve one for you, email you when it comes in, and hold it for you for up to 30 days!

To reserve a port/dessert wine, please visit the 2015 Ports are Coming reservation page.

We need to know before May 27, 2015, so please let us know as soon as possible!

Mother’s Day sneaking up on you? Don’t worry, Wines By Design can help!

Mom sometimes needs a break too. What better way to make that last than with 28-30 bottles of her favorite wine?

Consider a gift card for Mom from Wines By Design. Then let her make a day (or four) of it by coming on for our 4 visit 6 week process! She’ll leave at the end of six weeks with 28-30 bottles of her very own wine which she can enjoy in the months to come!

Whether Mom (or Mom-in-law!) likes her wine sweet or dry, white or red, a dessert wine or a fruit wine, we have something for Mom to make and enjoy.

Maybe she’d like:

  • A glass of Chardonnay on a summer porch
  • A glass of Green Apple Riesling on the lake
  • A glass of Nebbiolo next to an evening campfire

And the list goes on and on and on. Consider giving mom a gift that she can relish throughout the year with a gift certificate from Wines By Design.

You can purchase a gift certificate right here on the Wines By Design website. Alternatively, please feel free to stop in and check us out first. (If you need to make sure that Mom will love it!)

White Peach Sangria

White Peach Sangria with white wine, what a perfect spring/summer drink!

Sangria, traditionally thought of as originating in Spain and Portugal, is a great way to enjoy your wine on a hot summer day. (Although it’s pretty nice on a porch swing too, we hear!)

Sangria normally consists of wine, chopped fruit, a sweetener and some brandy. For a fruit, you can use: oranges, lemons, limes, apples, peaches, melons, berries, pineapple, grapes, kiwifruit, and mango. For a sweetener, you may use: sugar, syrup, honey, or orange juice. Finally, you can also consider replacing the brandy with seltzer or a lemon/lime soda.

Check out our featured recipe for White Peach Sangria!

We’ll be posting additional recipes in the future, you’ll be able to find them all on our recipes page.
