Wines By Design

Update: [05/18/2020]  As we move forward into Phase 1, we would like to share our plans here at Wines By Design.  We are cautiously optimistic about the re-opening and will look to do this slowly, for your continued safety.

We have always been classified as an “essential” business, which allowed us to continue to move your wines “forward” through the process.  We have been bottling for some and others have chosen to wait (semi-patiently).  

We would like to offer to continue bottling for you. While we know that some of you are eager to return, we feel that erring on the side of caution is most prudent at this time.  You can drop off bottles, or check in with us if you need some.

At this time, we would like to announce that we can begin sampling (in VERY small groups – ideally 2 people) by appointment only. We will be masked and gloved, and would ask that you wear a mask as well (and in be in good health).  You can email us at [email protected] or call us at (585)235-1090 to schedule an appointment.

We will continue to review the situation and guidance as we move forward through the phased re-openings.  We appreciate your patronage, and look forward to when we can return to business as usual at WBD!

In addition, the Spring Continuing Education classes have been canceled.  You can reach out to the school you had registered with for more information.  

We are a full service, on-premises wine making facility and wine making kit supplier, located in Rochester NY. If you’re interested in making your own wine, come on in and we can help! We have hosted families, small groups, wedding parties and corporate team building events.

Interested in a wine making class? We’ve got you covered! We’re involved in a number of area Continuing Education programs (check out your local high school or town opportunities).

Alternatively, do you want something a little more intimate? Call and schedule a private wine making class. We can work with you to make your very own delectable wine.

Or, if you are already an experienced vintner and are simply looking for supplies, we can help with that too. While our primary focus is wine-kits, check in with us, if we don’t have it in stock, we can probably get it for you!
