The 2015 Juice Sales are over!

2015 Fresh Juice
UPDATE: [9/25: 12:30p] The trucks did NOT apparently clear the FDA inspection as we thought. As a result, the truck will now not arrive in Rochester until after 3pm. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for your patronage this year.
We’ve received word from our supplier that the truck will be on the road to arrive at Wines By Design on Friday, September 25th.
It will take us some time to unload the truck and get prepared for you. Please plan on arriving no earlier than 10am. This should give us sufficient time to unload and sort the juice.
Remember: We CANNOT hold any juice beyond that day. Your receipt will be necessary for you to obtain your juice. Any unclaimed juice will be forfeited and your money will be refunded.
Note: Wines By Design acts as a shipping agent only and is not responsible for the quality of the juice.

Glögg
Glögg = A Swedish/Scandanavian mulled wine drink.
Brought to us by one of our Continuing Education participants (no names, we promised!), how about a glass of Glögg this fall/winter?
A delicious, warm port wine based drink, the warmth and spices bring the heat on a cold night. (Be sure to serve the raisins too!)
You can find all of our recipes on our recipes page.

Vin chaud 2” by Clément Petit – originally posted to Flickr as Un bon verre de vin chaud. Licensed under CC BY 2.0 via Commons.

You know how it goes, bottling day is quickly approaching and you have the bottles but, they have someone else’s labels on them. What to do? Well, everyone has their goto formula for getting off those really gooey labels. I did some research and I found some really weird suggestions. I first checked out everyone’s favorite, Pinterest. There are more methods than wine varieties. The craziest was a person who coats the label with peanut butter and then washes the whole mess off.
I continued on my quest and I found this article from Popular Mechanics, this is a real test of common methods to remove labels. Give this article a read, it’s a short read, and judge for yourself.

It’s Christmas in July
(We know… we’ve just hit summer)
BUT: If you want to be able to give wine for the holidays this year AND you want your recipient’s to be able to drink your wine right away, NOW’s the time to put up a kit!
To help, we’ve got a couple of things to share:
1) We’re ready!
We have recently received two large orders from both Winexpert and Cellar Craft and we’ve got something for everyone. Just some of what’s come in:
Reds |
Whites |
Fruits |
Nebbiolo (Barolo) |
Riesling |
Green Apple Riesling |
Amarone |
Pinot Grigio |
Pomegranate Zinfandel |
Château Du Pays |
Chardonnay |
Cranberry Malbec |
Rosso Fortissimo |
Piesporter |
Black Cherry Pinot Noir |
2) We’ll help!
During the month of July, if you put up two kits, we’ll take 5% off the price of your two kits. A third kit will give you 10% off of your kits (or any additional kits).
3) We’ve got something new!
We’ve got three new wines for you:
- World Vineyard – Pink Moscato
- Light and refreshing on the palate with flavors of fresh strawberry, raspberry and cherry.
- Eclipse – Forza
- Deep ruby color with aromas of plum, smoke and spice. Rich flavors of dark fruit, chocolate and cedar with lingering oak and a firm long finish.
- Showcase – Sonoma Vally Cabernet Sauvignon
- This replaces the Showcase Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
